WHAT and HOW: Hard Cap Wig Making?

Creating a wig with a hard cap Foundation base is primarily what a Hard Cap Wig is. This Hard Cap foundation can be measured on any type of head size, mannequin or head block. It will always be a bespoke fitted cap, the perfect custom fit.

With the Hard Cap Wig Making Course hosted by Studio Loz. Loz will show you how to create a Hard Cap Foundation from scratch.

When you have created your bespoke fitted Hard Cap Foundation: which you will learn on a step by step basis. You then start to sculpt your desired design by sticking and glueing specific materials and synthetic (or other fibres) on to the foundation base.

The design possibilities are absolutely endless, and your only limit is your imagination.

With particular techniques that we use to attach the hair to the cap, it ensures the wig creation will be a solid, long lasting wear. Finished with a industrial standard lacquer to create a hardened finish.

WHERE DID IT START?

Hard Cap Wigs were originally created for the mannequin world. Years ago, a Hard cap wig was the perfect option for department stores to enhance their visual merchandising displays.. The window displays and instore mannequins would be and still are designed by the head of merchandising and created by the team to enhance the creativity and selling potential of the clothing and accesories on display.
