Copenhagen? Oh, go on then ..

Nicci from Nicci Welsh Academy had emailed to say she was interested and with a drop of a hat I was landing in Copenhagen after a lovely 1.5 hour flight - although it's a cold winter in London, a scathing minus 7 is quiet literally the coldest place I've ever been in my life. Needless to say one of the most beautiful.

I spent a wonderful 2 days in Nicci's academy, and to be honest, although I know Nicci took a lot out of the course, I took just as much from her, if not more... it's a funny thing when you fly around the world, to teach a stranger.. you never know who they are and what energy yourl be met with, not merely for a second. Coversating over email doesn't give much away and actually I never looked Nicci up online (I had a very busy few weeks before departure and also after many times, I enjoy the element of surprise) but as soon as she opened her academy doors, we just clicked. 2 days absolutely flew by and we nattered for hours like we'd known eachother years. All I have to say about Nicci, is that she is utterly phenomenal and incredibly inspirational. I am so grateful our paths crossed.

From Hard Cap Wig Foundations, sticking and glueing techniques, to a nearly finished "flower inspired pink and red, 3 buns" I have no doubt in my mind, Nicci's year of experience and talents within the fashion industry will join with the art of hard cap wigs and show us something we have never seen before. And I CANNOT wait to see it!

Here's a few images from out 2 days, albeit only a few- do check out the reels I made on Instagram. They give you a run down of what my course looks like.. featuring of course, Nicci's beautiful academy.

Alongside a very successful 2 days with Nicci, I also extended my trip in Copenhagen for a further 3 days. Prepping myself with an episode Of "Somebody feed phil - Copenhagen edition" I was well equipped with all the foods I wanted to try and all the places I wanted to visit.

I am a huge fish lover- basically live off a diet of salmon and prawns, so as soon as Phil mentioned Herring Smørrebrød, well let's just say, I wasn't content until I'd had it.. it was one of the best dishes I've eaten in a LONG time, although the rye bread is extremely filling the herring, capers and red onion- I could live off (if it wasn't so hard to find in the UK, of course 🙄), .. and where would I try this exquisite delicacy? in no better place but Nyhavn .. it felt like I was floating around in a movie, utterly beautiful.. honestly, I had tears in my eyes. Just, picture perfect. Many pastries were eaten and many cups of coffee were sipped..

I pinch myself Everytime I get to do a trip like this.. Thank you Nicci for inviting me over. I had the best time exploring your home.

I've added some personal photos from the trip below.. well, why not. Photo 8 in my element! ❤️
